The Eldridge Park Carousel Preservation Society as well as Seven Mountains Media have announced plans for the upcoming Independence Day celebration this Saturday, July 1st.
From 12:00 to 9:00pm park attractions and rides will be open. Then starting at 2:00pm vendors such as Taste Of Jamaica, PDR’s Catering, Cold Rush Italian Ice and many more will be open on the park’s midway. The Swarthout Lunker Hunter Fishing Derby also begins at 2:00 and runs until 4:00.
In addition, inflatables from Bobby K will be available from 3:00 until 8:00.
Live music begins at 4:00 featuring Brianna Blankenship until 5:30 and Endless Holiday from 6:00 until 7:30.
At 9:00 a fireworks display by Youngs Explosives will be accompanied by a live broadcast from WINK 106’s Scott and Ally.
Free shuttle bus services from Wegmans Parking Lot starting at 4pm through 11:00pm. Parking for shuttle services is on the southern end of the Wegmans Parking Lot. Limited
public parking will be available within the park at the Northern Parking Lot via Grand Central Ave entrance and Handicap parking in the main lot off of Woodlawn Ave.
Event organizers say the College Avenue entrance to the park will be closed.
