OWEGO – On Tuesday, at approximately 4:18 AM, the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office and Apalachin Fire Department responded to a property damage motor vehicle crash on State Route 17 west bound in the Town of Owego.
When emergency crews arrived, they located a tractor trailer that had overturned spilling its load onto the median. The load was described as garbage/refuse.

New York State DOT responded to close a portion of the highway and was in the process of clean up at the time of this notification. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
There were no reported injuries.
