Big Flats Man Charged With Grand Larceny And Official Misconduct

On Friday at approximately 6:50 a.m.,New York State Police based in Horseheads responded to a complaint in the area of Interstate 86 and State Route 13 in the town of Horseheads for a report of a road rage incident followed by the victim’s cell phone being allegedly stolen. 

State Police say that as a result of their investigation investigation, 40 year old Gregory P. Stachowski of Big Flats was arrested for Grand Larceny 4th (E Felony) and Official Misconduct (A Misdemeanor).

State Police noted that Stachowski is employed by New York State Department of Corrections where he is currently the Deputy Superintendent of Auburn Correctional Facility.

Stachowski was transported to State Police barracks in Horseheads for processing. He was issued an appearance ticket to the Town of Horseheads Court on August 1, 2023.
