Police are investigating a report of gunfire that happened on Monday in the City of Elmira.
Police say at approximately 4:26pm they were dispatched to the 200 block of South Avenue for the report of gunshots in the area. Officers responded quickly and confirmed
that shots had been fired at a residence in this area, however no one was injured.
Police say witnesses told them they saw several subjects fleeing the area prior to police arrival.
At this time no arrests have been made and no weapons have been recovered. The investigation into this incident is ongoing and no further details will be released at this time.

Crazy I live next to the guys they searched. The cops were informed that the adults had a little girl no older than 14 throw the gun over the fence into the neighbors bushes then when the cops leave these people come out their house and start searching for the gun .. Smh
