Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on August 8, 2023, deputies of the
Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38 year old Timothy A. MacDougal, Jr., of Cohocton, in response to a report of a person being assaulted in a domestic incident there.
According to police, MacDougal allegedly choked and injured another person. It is
further alleged that the victim was under the age of 17 and that MacDougal acted in a
manner likely to endanger that person.
MacDougal was charged with Assault in the Third Degree, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and released
