ELMIRA – Police are investigating the discovery of a body found beneath the Walnut Street bridge in the city of Elmira.
Earlier today, Elmira Police Department was dispatched to the area of the north end of the Walnut Street Bridge for a report of a man down.
Upon arrival Officers located a white male subject, approximately 40 years of age, who was
determined to be deceased. At this time, police have managed to identify the man and are working to contact next of kin.
Police say while this investigation is ongoing, no foul play is suspected at this time.
