Elmira Man Arrested On Child Exploitation Charges

ELMIRA – An Elmira man was arrested after a months long investigation which revealed he allegedly tried to solicit sexual acts with a minor

According to Elmira Police Department, on February 24th, 2023, police executed a search warrant at a residence on the South Side of Elmira. The search warrant was based on an investigative lead that an Elmira resident had been soliciting a juvenile for sexual acts over the internet. This case was investigated by the NYS Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

As a result of this investigation, on September 20th, 2023, Daniel Peterson-Green a 30 year old Elmira resident, was arrested on an active Chemung County Superior Court warrant and charged with one count of Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the Second Degree, a Class E Felony.

Peterson-Green was transported to the Chemung County Jail and held pending further
court proceedings.

The Elmira Police Department was assisted by the NYSP Troop E Computer Crimes Unit during this investigation.
