Racing To Return To Chemung Speedrome In ’24

CHEMUNG – Until recently, the status of the future of racing at Chemung Speedrome in in 2024 and beyond has been unknown. This comes on the heels of the information that promoter Ray Hodge had announced that he and track owner, John White, could not come to terms on a new contract.

However that has all changed, according to a post on the track’s Facebook page, and Hodge is pleased to inform the racing community that he and his wife, Ellen, will be back at the helm.

“John and I have negotiated the terms of a new contract that will keep racing at Chemung alive and well for the foreseeable future,” Hodge stated. The parties settled on terms that are fair to both. “The details will remain between John and me,” Hodge added.

The speedrome team says that drivers can begin to prepare for the 2024 season, one which will include no major changes.

“I will immediately start working on the 2024 schedule. We’re moving forward in keeping racing alive and, hopefully, stronger than ever.”
