Corning Woman Accused Of Using Another’s Credit Card

HORSEHEADS – A Corning woman has been arrested and accused of using another person’s credit card without authorization.

According to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Department, in July of 2023, police received a report that unauthorized purchases had been made on the victim’s credit card. After further investigation, police obtained video footage from Kohl’s department store on County Route 64 in Horseheads. Police were able to identify the person making the unauthorized purchases as 38 year old Kellie M. Kelley of Corning.

On October 14th, Kelley was arrested and charged with Identity Theft in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree, both of which are Class E felonies. Kelley was also charged with Petit Larceny, which is a Class A misdemeanor.

She was remanded to the Chemung County Jail and later released on October 16th awaiting a later court appearance.
