BATH – New York State Police in Troop E is investigating a fatal car-pedestrian crash that occurred on I-86 near exit 38 in the village of Bath, NY.
According to state police, the preliminary investigation determined that a westbound vehicle on I-86 struck a pedestrian between the evening of November 17, 2023, to the early morning hours of November 18, 2023. The vehicle did not stop.
Police say they are looking for a 2019 or newer white Volvo semi-truck with significant damage to the front passenger side.
I-86 westbound between exits 38 and 39 were closed in the area for an extended period as police investigated. No further details on the pedestrian have been released at this time.
